The VTEC-E P07 is a unique ECU, mainly because it's
designed to be used with a a 5-wire 02 sensor. There
are 2 types of P07 ECU's. Both are reprogrammable, but both with internal
design. One of the versions is more 'chipper
friendlier'
than the other. This chipper friendlier version is actually a P28 in
disguised with VX programming and a VX part number (P07).
A way to check and see if you have the chipper or unchipper friendly P07,
is simple. Remove ecu top cover and look for this board number:
If your P07 has the board number shown above (02D01560-1500),
it is the unfriendly version which I do not
support for reprogramming at this time.
However, if your P07 ECU has either of these board numbers:
02D011F0-1500 or
02D01720-1500
You have the chipper friendly version which i support for reprogramming.
If you have an eligible P07 and are wondering about programming,
programs can be found under the P28 & P30
program categories. The chipper friendly P07 is fully
compatible
with any of the SOHC & DOHC VTEC programs I have available under
those categories.
